Competence+ D/I

OUR PROJECTS
Competence+ D/I

Description

The COMP+ D/I project builds on the results of the 2020 Erasmus+ KA2 Competence+ project and uses innovative teaching methods, including virtual reality (VR) scenarios and a computer game, to offer a comprehensive training program focused on diversity and inclusion in public transport. COMP+ D/I will help trainers, staff, and trainees gain a better understanding of the importance of living diversity and inclusion both in their professional field and everyday life. In the long run, the goal is to create a more inclusive community by improving skills, work environments, and performances.

Objectives

  • Provide a training program focused on diversity and inclusion in public transport using innovative teaching methods, including VR and gamification.
  • Improve the understanding and experience of diversity and inclusion for trainers, staff, and trainees in their professional field and everyday life.
  • Promote the use of digital technologies in the individual learning process, offering a flexible, adaptable, and innovative educational experience that can be easily integrated into vocational education and training (VET) and further training contexts.

Results

  • Creation of a Methodology for the Use of XR and Gamification in Vocational Education and Training (VET), which provides a structured approach for developing and implementing training programs that use XR and gamification in general, and COMP+ materials specifically.
  • Development of a Diversity and Inclusion Workshop for public transport employees and trainees, which includes both online and face-to-face elements. This workshop can be used independently or combined with other COMP+ workshops on environmental awareness, stress and conflict management, and moral courage.
  • Creation of COMP+ Virtual Reality (VR) Scenarios that complement the workshops and allow learners to apply their new knowledge directly in a safe environment. The Diversity and Inclusion scenario will be added during the project.
  • Development of a computer game based on the 5 COMP+ workshops, which can be used as part of a workshop or as a learning experience for individual learners.
