Coopskills

Description

COOPSKILLS is a Cooperation Partnership between public and private organisations, including municipalities, Chambers of Commerce and their companies, Vocational Education and Training (VET) organisations, and other civil organizations active in the field of education and training at the municipal level.

The main goal of the project is to leverage the principles and impact of the UNESCO "Learning Cities" network to create a network of "Learning Companies". This network aims to effectively mobilise resources in each sector to promote inclusive learning, facilitate learning for and in the workplace, extend the use of modern learning technologies, enhance the quality and excellence in learning, and foster a culture of lifelong learning.

Objectives

  • To understand the incentives of employers and employees in order to motivate and mobilize them towards upskilling and reskilling actions.
  • To foster a local/municipal mindset, engaging all potential stakeholders (public and private), to share responsibility for adult skills development through the establishment of effective structural collaboration frameworks such as "reskilling labs".
  • To develop a holistic methodology for training, guidance and counselling, and skills assessment to reskill low-qualified workers and raise awareness of career opportunities within the green and digital economy. This includes designing skills development content for in-demand green and digital occupations, utilizing gamification, and models for enhanced career guidance.

Results

  • Manual on how to organize and manage "Reskilling Labs"
  • Curricula and training materials for trainees, and a manual for trainers
  • Counseling and mentoring manual
  • Four gamification tools for training and assessment
