OUR PROJECTS
EU – ALMPO EU Active Labour Market Policy Observatory

Description

The EU ALMP Obervatory (EU-ALMPO) is a new initiative to improve active labour market policies (ALMPs) in the EU Member States. It provides a centralised framework for policy makers that uses AI and digital platforms to improve policy development, innovation and inclusiveness. By integrating technology and expertise, it aims to improve labour market integration and skills development, especially for disadvantaged groups, and anticipate future workforce needs.

Objectives

The objectives:

  • Understanding the complexity of labour market policy effectiveness through evidence-based collection and analysis.
  • Analyse approaches by involving stakeholders at NUTS and sector level in the process of co-designing skills policies (community of practice, case studies).
  • Development of an expert-led, self-sustaining machine learning system for the analysis of evidence on the effectiveness of active labour market measures.
  • Develop a smart tool to bridge the gap between labour demand and supply by collecting key data for policy makers during the economic cycle.
  • Development of a context-dependent (high/low unemployment; high/low-skilled jobs) recommendation engine for: Individual intervention pathways/policy design and policy implementation recommendations.
