MICROIDEA addresses development of a microcredential system. The objective is to create a holistic methodology to define, evaluate, validate and recognize individual skills and competences. It has a focus on the emerging need to support lifelong learning, and more inclusive forms of learning through more flexible and relevant learning opportunities, addressing the European approach to Micro-Credentials for lifelong learning and employability.
Based on the ISO/IEC17024 certification/validation process, it seeks to identify, develop, test, and evaluate a novel approach to the implementation and recognition of micro-credentials that has the potential to become mainstream and to enhance education and training systems.
The main objective is to improve education and training systems, as well as the effectiveness of policies and practices related to the labour market. The project seeks solutions to the challenges of the tourism sector, including the lack of personnel. The project also promotes transnational cooperation and learning exchange among key actors, empowering them to adopt the results and transfer solutions to new environments.
